Sample RV Operation Manual
A/C, Furnace, TV, Window Blinds

Air Conditioner:

The roof top air conditioner requires A/C electricity to operate. The power cord must be attached to a power source or the generator must be on to use the air conditioner. The air conditioner must be turned off before connecting the power cord to a power source or starting the generator. All Sunseeker model RV’s have the air conditioner controls located on the inside ceiling unit. Forester models have the controls located on the wall thermostat.

 Furnace:

There is a furnace located in the RV. The flame is powered by L.P. gas. The fan is powered by the coach batteries. To use the furnace locate the wall thermostat.  Move the temperature lever to desired temperature.  First the fan will start and will blow cool air, after a short time the burner will automatically ignite and air change to warm.  Furnace will automatically cycle on and off.  To stop furnace push thermostat level all the way left.  Only use furnace when needed or anytime when temperatures are below freezing.  Furnace rapidly depletes L.P. gas supply and batteries.

TV:

TV must be fastened in by tether strap while driving.  Strap can be released, TV can be pulled out while parked.  There is a crank up antenna located on the roof.  The crank is located on the ceiling near the TV.  To raise the antenna crank in raise direction until resistance is felt.  The antenna can be rotated by pulling down on lock ring and turning.  Antenna must be stored in down position before driving RV.  To store antenna the two arrows on lock ring and base plate must be aligned.  Next crank antenna in down direction until resistance is felt.  Next go outside RV and check to be sure antenna is down and not hanging over the side of the RV.  To the right of the TV in the cabinet is an antenna booster switch.  You may need the booster to enhance the signal.  To turn it on push in the small black button until the green light glows.  Be sure to turn the booster off when not watching the TV.  It runs off the battery and will drain the battery if left on.  Be sure the antenna is stored before moving RV.

Window Blinds:

There are pull down window blinds on all RV windows.  Gently pull down on the blinds to lower and push up to raise.

 Privacy Curtain:

There is a privacy curtain to isolate the cab area of the RV.  Do not use the curtain while driving.  The curtain has a Velcro strip attached at the top.  There are a series of Velcro fasteners attached to the cab area of the RV above the windows.  Attach the Velcro strip of the curtain to the Velcro fasteners on the cab.

 Gasoline:

The RV has one 55 gallon gas tank.  The RV will run on 87 octane regular lead free gas.  You may see increased performance and/or better fuel economy on higher octane gas, but it is not required.
