RV Operation Manual
Electric:
Cord to power RV is located in drivers side rear compartment. Cord can be
run out through white portal so it can be connected to an outlet and the
compartment can be closed.
The power cord is for 115 volts/30 amps of power. There is an adapter
provided in the compartment to connect to a standard 15 amp outlet. If using an
adapter and a standard outlet the air conditioner should not be used. Batteries:
Interior lights, water pump, electric step, water heater igniter, and
refrigerator when in “gas mode” all use battery power. There are a total of
three batteries in the RV. One for the “truck” and two for the “coach”.
They are separate during use and tied together while they are charging. If there
is no power cord connection, battery charge level should be monitored using the
monitor panel. When the battery level reaches 3/4 or below batteries should be
recharged by running the RV’s engine until level reaches full charge. If the
batteries go dead, the refrigerator will cease to run.
There is a gasoline power generator in the
RV. The generator runs off the same gas tank as the RV. When the gas tank gets
below 1/4 full the generator will run out of gas and will not run. In order for
the generator to power the RV, the engine must be running, and the power cord
for the RV located in the drivers side rear compartment must be connected to the
silver outlet box in the same compartment. To start the generator, first be sure
that all items that are generator powered are switched off. Find the switch for
the generator located on the monitor panel. Hold the switch on start to start
the generator until it starts. There is an hour meter connected to the
generator. There is a $2 per hour to use the generator. Once the generator is
running anything that uses A/C electricity may be used. To stop generator first
shut off all items that are powered by it. Next push the stop button and the
generator will stop. Furnace:
There is a furnace located in the RV. The
flame is powered by L.P. gas. The fan is powered by the coach batteries. To use
the furnace locate the wall thermostat. Move
the temperature lever to desired temperature.
First the fan will start and will blow cool air, after a short time the
burner will automatically ignite and air change to warm.
Furnace will automatically cycle on and off.
To stop furnace push thermostat level all the way left.
Only use furnace when needed or anytime when temperatures are below
freezing. Furnace rapidly depletes
L.P. gas supply and batteries.
There is an L.P. gas system in the RV.
There is a built in tank located outside the RV under the passenger side. There
is a red tag clearly marking the compartment. There is a gauge on the tank and
on the monitor panel inside. There is a manual shut off valve on the tank. The
valve will be on when you get the RV. The tank can remain on unless the system
develops a leak. If you suspect a leak turn the valve clockwise until closed.
L.P. gas powers the refrigerator when A/C power is not available. L.P. gas
powers the hot water heater, the furnace, and the stove. Each item must be
turned off when filling the L.P. tank or the gas tank. Items can be turned back
on after leaving refilling station.
